Thursday evening the Fresno Filmmakers Forum held its quarterly mixer at Full Circle Brewery. Cool people. Here’s some uncut footage in case you missed it.
Below are my fellow FFF committee members Christine Autrand Mitchell, from Entandem Productions and Greg Amaro, from Cinelook. I tricked them into thinking their picture was being taken. Haha! It was video! Also included in this clip are Airplane Jayne and Marcel Nunis, both of Rogue Festival fame.
Name badges were in full effect, since its all about getting to know each other. Here’s another FFF committee member, Suzanne Bertz-Rosa, just before she assigned me to Name Badge Police.

In a far off corner, I found some local bloggers that thought they’d go badgeless and abstain from the schmoozing. Maybe they were skrrrrrrrrd. Here they are post badging.
I sat there long enough to look like I was conspiring with the bloggers and at this point is when the table grew. We added a few chairs, did some introductions, studied each other’s name badges, and chatted.
Then we figured, “Hey, why not?” And we invited the whole mixer for a round table discussion. This clip features somebody who walked into the wrong meeting. Har har. He’s not really an alcoholic, I don’t think…
As you can see, it was a relaxed, positive atmosphere and all about building the filmmaking community in Fresno. There will be another mixer in June- possibly featuring screenings of work by our local filmmakers, if you’re interested in films, filmmaking, or anything related. Everyone’s welcome. I’m really looking forward to the annual forum in October. We’ll have speakers, screenings, demos, and a trade show. Not bad, eh?
Ahh… I see the problem to not being able to watch these videos… they’ve been set to “private”. Just sayin…

Yeah, I’m wont to live in “bizzaro world” most of the time. At least that’s my story ans I’m sticking to it.

The mixer was awesome! It was cool to see so many people turnout and meet some of the locals! NYUP! Funny how our little outcast table turned into the epicenter! Can’t wait for the next one!
